“He really was superman.”
Micaela and her two sisters were introduced to running at a young age. Their dad who was an avid runner, ran a whopping 120 marathons in his lifetime.
"I don’t know if any of us would be running marathons (or at least not with the same meaning) without the influence of our dad, so he will always be my inspiration,” said Micaela.
“...he will always be my inspiration”
Errol Yudelman consistently ran the Twin Cities Marathon and seven years ago he brought two of his daughters along - Hayley (right) and Beth. The sisters never forgot that feeling of crossing the finish line of their very first marathon, with their father by their side.

Micaela though never had the chance to experience that feeling.
The sisters lost their dad suddenly last year. Errol was just 61. The tremendous loss pushed Micaela to take running more seriously. So much so, she and her sisters committed to keeping their dad's running streak alive. He had been running at least four miles a day and was on day 325 when he died. The sisters took turns running the four miles until they were able to complete their dad's year-long streak.
Micaela knew she wanted to honor her dad in an even bigger way, by running a marathon, so she signed up to run Twin Cities - knowing her dad and sisters had run it previously.
Of course, her sisters ran it with her.
At the emotional finish, Micaela realized she'd never be able to share this new aspect of life with her dad, but she knows without a doubt, her dad would be so proud.
We know he would be too, Micaela.
